Happy Holidays!!

Merry Christmas!  I cannot believe how quickly time is going by!  For once, I am ahead of the game and have all of my presents bought, wrapper, and ready to go! I did a lot of online shopping this year, which served itself well.  I got a ton of great deals, and having it sent right to your doorstep ready to open and wrap is quite convenient...especially when you are pregnant!

Speaking of the pregnancy, Camryn Noelle has decided that she wants to make sure we are WELL aware of her presence.  I have had some continuing issues with my blood pressure (although now seem to be under control with some more medication), and issues with cramping etc.  So, I am trying to lay low while on break from school.  She is fine though, and we are all plugging along, counting down the days until she finally arrives!

Isaiah is also on vacation from school.  On his last day of school before Christmas Break, his school had a Christmas Advent Program.  It was the cutest thing EVER!  He is so grown up.  Here are some pics from the program.

Isaiah is also VERY excited about Santa's impending arrival.  We already have some gifts from family and friends under the tree, and he is so excited to open them and see what he got!  Even his new baby sister has a gift waiting for her!

The present is from Grandma Pat and Grandpa.  :-)

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and loving holiday!

Thanks to All!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!  I cannot believe that 2011 is already almost over.  The holidays are upon us, and before we know it, we will be waking up on New Year's Day to a brand new year!  We have a lot to be thankful for this year.  We have an amazing son, who is growing bigger everyday.  We have our health and our family.  We have a miracle daughter on the way, who was the incredible answer to many people's prayers.  We have a lot to look forward to in 2012, and are excited to celebrate the holidays with the ones we love.

We had been talking to Isaiah about what we are all thankful for this year.  He understands a little but more this year the meaning of Thanksgiving, and his class even had a Thanksgiving Feast Celebration to show everyone what they had learned about this year about the Pilgrims and the Indians.  Isaiah told me that he was thankful for, "Shark cookies, swimming pools, and games."  Hehehehe.  I had made him sugar cookies in the shape of sharks on Thanksgiving Eve. :-)

Isaiah and I have been on school vacation this week, and have had a fun time playing games and enjoying the freedom from the grind!  Isaiah is big into baseball right now, so everyday we went to the park so I could throw him the baseball and he could practice his hitting.  He does REALLY well, and we plan to sign him up for tee ball in January.

                                  24 weeks pregnant!

We also had our 24 week appointment for baby Camryn, and everything is going along smoothly.  She weights 1 pound and 7 ounces.  The tech looked at all of her parts again, and did reconfirm that it is indeed a girl.  Paul and Isaiah have been able to feel her kick, and they literally get a kick out of it!

We had a great time spending the holiday at my Grandma's house in Port Saint Lucie.  Next up...Christmas!

We love you!

Progress!!!

Painting and getting the nursery set up is A LOT Of work.  Of course, it is all fun too, because it is in preparation for our little jellybean, Camryn.  Of course, it was harder to do than most rooms, because a.  We have 10 foot height ceilings, so it is hard to paint all the way up there when you are standing on a really high ladder, and b. our walls have "knockdown" texture to them, so they are not totally seamless, which made putting a border up fun.  We decided that since the room was already painted beige, and it was a really nice color, that we wanted to keep some of the beige and add in some color (PINK OF COURSE!!!)  I always had a pink room growing up and I always envisioned my daughter having one as well.  So, we decided to paint the top half of the room pink and then put a border up to separate the two.  The border was harder then we anticipated, but it is UP and so far so good!!!!  Here is the progress in the nursery so far!

Isaiah was also really excited this week because he got to go Trick or Treating with his friends.  We have a yearly tradition of going with our 2 neighbors and their kids, who are all Isaiah's best friends.  The weather was GORGEOUS and the kids had a blast.  I have more pics to upload of Halloween, but here is a peak at the fun!
The last pic is of Isaiah next to his little "garden."  We found the cute hanging pot holder at the farmer's market, and Isaiah had a blast planting flowers in it with Paul.  He is very proud of his work!!!!  Overall it has been a GREAT month and we are now ready to dive head first into the holidays!  Til next time!

Love, US!

Oh Boy! Or should I say girl?!

Lots has happened around the Nigro household since the summer when I last updated our previous blog that chronicled the last three years of our lives.  You can still view that blog and get caught up on past happenings at www.thenewlywedfiles.blogspot.com
Isaiah: The Grad!

I took a break from blogging as we had a very eventful summer.  Isaiah finished up at Miss Tina's daycare, and the school year came to a close.  We had reopened our foster home and had a beautiful one year old little boy with us that we had hoped to adopt.  He lived with us for 4 months, and then we were informed that we were NOT going to get to adopt him.  He went to another family, and is doing well.  We miss him dearly, but things happen for a reason, so we tried to take everything in stride.

I am not too sure how many people know our struggles of the past couple of years in terms of trying to expand our family.  We were informed in September 2010 that we were infertile, and that there was less than a 1% chance of us getting pregnant on our own.  After much discussion (both emotional and financial) we did not feel it was in the cards for us to pursue infertility treatments.  We hung up the hat on trying to expand our family, and that is when we looked into fostering again with the hope to adopt.

With the whirlwind of fostering, and caring for two little ones at the time, summer was upon us.  I turned 30 (YAY!) and we celebrated with close friends and family.  It was a blast.

Next up...Fourth of July.  We got to get over to Port Saint Lucie to visit my aunt and uncle and their kids, and my grandmother.  It was a blast, and we spent the night over there and really got to enjoy our visit.  When we returned to Lakeland, I was not feeling very well, and exactly one week later on July 11, 2011 I found out I was pregnant.  Miracles really DO happen!!!!!!!

Sonogram: 8 weeks Pregnant

I had a very rough first 16 weeks of pregnancy.  I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis (SEVERE nausea and vomiting), and had to have IV fluids and IV meds to try to help it.  I lost 20 pounds, and my blood pressure was up.  It seemed it was going to be a rocky road, but it was all worth it.  We were pregnant!!!!

Kelly: 18 Weeks Preggie

Luckily, at 16 weeks pregnant I began to feel better.  Things were looking up.  Pretty soon we would find out what Baby Nigro was!  We had an ultrasound scheduled for October 27, 2011 when I turned 20 weeks pregnant.  We were sooo anxious about this appointment, because we just wanted to make sure everything was progressing okay with Little Nigro.  I had mother's intuition that it was a girl...all signs kind of pointed that way; or at least the Old Wives Tales did!  But, really we weren't sure, and either gender was OK.  We went to our ultrasound to find out that Baby Nigro was indeed A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a shot of the sonogram where they pointed out her three little lines and hamburger looking privates lol.  she has a cute tush too!!!!!!!!!!  So, we are very excited to welcome Camryn Noelle Nigro around March 18, 2011.

Of course everyone was really excited about the addition of a little girl.  My coworkers were very excited as well.  When I returned to work the next day, after they had been informed of the big news (I called them as soon as I left the doctor!) this is what I found...

My office decorated so beautiful!!!!!!!!

Needless to say it has been a very fun and eventful time here at the Nigro's.  More to come soon!  In the meantime...HAPPY FALL!
